A second day of activities in the Big Apple!
Up and out again today, we headed out to brave the subway to get to our brunch spot in Chelsea. I’d chosen Jack’s Wife Freda as I’d seen it recommended in a few blogs and tiktok’s. It was soooo yummy.
We filled ourselves up well and headed downtown on the subway. The biggest to do on our list today was Ground Zero, 9/11 Museum and the World Trade Centre.

The process for getting into the 9/11 Museum can take a little while. We joined the first queue and showed our Sightseeing Pass. Then, we were given a time slot, to return later to then enter. We distracted ourselves with window shopping in the World Trade Centre, before finding Starbucks to get a warm drink to keep us going in the queue.
I didn’t take any pictures once we were inside. I took a couple at Ground Zero, but not inside the museum. Personally, it didn’t feel respectful for me to take them so I just observed.
We spent a long time in the museum, there is a lot to see. Whilst it was a really heavy experience, I am so glad we went.
We left feeling fairly emotional, so needed a bit of a breather and had a fairly chilled afternoon. We had a long awaited trip to Barnes and Nobles and enjoyed a seat in their cafe, before more strolling around.
Tonight’s dins was a reservation made well in advance of our trip! Rosa Mexicano was recommended to us for a few reasons but specifically, they make fresh guacamole at your table and it is incredible. I also was happy to discover that they did excellent frozen margarita’s too.

Hope you’ve found these day summaries helpful – let me know below what you think!
