My current beauty dupes purchases from Aldi that I just love!
I’m not going to pretend that Aldi isn’t one of my favourite shops. Every time I go in, I come out with something I didn’t need or something I didn’t even know I wanted but now, I can’t live without it. Their beauty game has been seriously upped in the last couple years, with more dupes and beauty essentials being added and the quality is actually really good. I’ve had a fair few faves, but these are my current ones that seem to be permanent or making a regular occurrence.
Lacura Rose Hot Cloth Cleanser

First up is the Hot Cloth Cleanser. This is a dupe of the Liz Earle hot cloth cleanser which seems to now be more of a permanent addition in the stores. I hadn’t seen the rose one before, so of course I needed to try it. The other Aldi ones I’ve previously had have been so good for removing heavy makeup, super creamy, don’t dry out my skin and come with a white muslin cloth. For me, the rose cleanser is all of that and more, it really does work so well.
I originally used the Liz Earle one to help with my skin and I was worried whether the Lacura one would do the same or make my skin breakout. Luckily, it’s actually just as good as the Liz Earle! If anything, I probably clean my skin better now as I always double cleanse as I don’t feel so guilty using it when its a quarter of the price of the Liz Earle one.
I also love the fact its vegan still, as dupes can sometimes cheap out on the ingredients. Plus this one specifically, the rose water is really good for minimising redness in the skin something that seems to be a result of my acne! The only downside is the muslin isn’t as soft as other branded ones until it’s been washed a fair few times but they last and wash well, they’re absorbent and it does the job.
Application wise, its super easy to use. Just apply directly to your dry face, rub in circular motions with your fingertips all over and then remove by using a damp muslin cloth. I rinse my muslin cloth out well between each face wipe and use a clean patch each time, as you don’t want to be rubbing make-up and dirt back on your face. I repeat this all twice for double cleansing and it has helped my acne lots. When I’m done, I rinse my cloth until the water is clear and then leave it to air dry.
I can’t remember the exact retail price of the Lacura Cleanser; I think it’s around £5 to £7. This is really cheap for a lot of product, they are good sized 200ml bottles. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a hugeee fan of Liz Earle and I will always adore their cleansers but if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, the Lacura one is a great one.
Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Toner

The Healthy Glow Rose Toner is next up! This is a dupe of the Pixi ‘Rose Tonic’ which retails for £18 but this one is less than £5.
I’ve used a fair few toners; Liz Earle, Caudalie, No7 and other high street brands. All of the toners that I’ve use that have made an obvious difference in my skin tone are ranging from £16/18 up, and although they’re all good in their own ways, the Aldi one is a decent competitor.
The stores have had a few different varieties of the toner, but I think the rose one is my fave. I previously used the Lacura dupe of the Pixi ‘Glow Tonic’ which is called ‘Healthy Glow Glycolic Toner’. It’s an exfoliating version so it really dried my skin out making it pretty sore, and it can only be used once a day, so I’d avoid this one if you’ve got sensitive skin or want a twice daily toner. With the rose one, I’ve had no absolutely no issues of dryness and it hasn’t irritated my skin either. Also, because this one is more sensitive I can use it in my morning and night routines which is much better for my skin care!
The toner is super easy to use, just apply directly onto cotton wool pads or reusable face pads – these much better for absorption and for the environment. Wipe the pad gently over your face and neck in an upwards motion and voila! Toner is best applied after cleansing but before you moisturise.
Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Oil

The Lacura Healthy Glow Rose Oil is a new purchase that I’ve been using for a few weeks. I’ve had face oils before – including a Tarte ‘Rainforest of the Sea’ one, and all of them have just been really greasy and not particularly nourishing. Weird to say but the Lacura one is not that ‘oily’? I know it’s oil, but it’s not actually greasy and sinks into your skin rather than sitting on the surface. Face oils that just sit on your skins surface are just a big no no from me, they just make my combination skin so much worse!
Also when I’ve used facial oils before, they’ve really effected my make up base. Either my foundation never really sets or it does a weird, crackled pattern over my nose and forehead. With the Aldi one, I haven’t found any issues with my makeup at all, if anything my makeup lasts longer and my face is a much smoother base. If you needed more reasons to try it, the bottle design is so cute and the little pipette is super handy for the easiest application.
The rose oil is a daily use, both morning and night and suitable for sensitive skin. You can use the oil either by applying a few drops directly onto your face after cleansing and toning or you can mix a couple drops with your moisturiser for maximum hydration.
Im not sure how permanent this product is in Aldi so if you can get your hands on the oil, I’d deffo recommend trying it. Again, I can’t remember how much it retails for but it won’t have been more than £5!
Lacura Rejuvelate Day Cream

I’ve struggled with a lot of day creams as I find they don’t keep my skin moisturised or again, affect my makeup base (oh the joys of combination skin!). This Lacura one is actually really nice though. It’s creamy, sinks in to my skin and most surprisingly, it gives a really nice base for my makeup.
The Rejuvelate is a dupe of the L’Oreal Revitalift day cream which is retailing for £13. The Lacura version is £6, so under half the price and although I haven’t tried the L’Oreal one, I have heard good things. I was really eager to try this cream as I’ve had the Lacura versions of the Nivea Q10 day & night creams and liked the night one but hated the day one. I just felt like the Lacura Q10 didn’t do anything for my skin but this one, they’ve got spot on.
Both creams are SPF 30 which is really handy for making sure you get your SPF protection everyday! I’d definitely try this if you’re looking for a new moisturiser and it seems to be a regular product in the stores.
Application again is so easy, apply a small amount to the face and gently rub in upwards motions with finger tips over face and neck, after cleansing and toning.
Lacura Miracle Oil

This is the last beauty buy from Aldi I’ve purchased recently and I don’t wanna be saying I’ve left the best for last but it really is amazing.
This miracle oil a dupe of the highly praised but super expensive, Elizabeth Arden All Over Miracle Oil. It’s super multitasking as it can be used on the face, body and hair, the same as the original. It’s so obvious what its a copy of, the packaging is very similar to the original – pretty cheeky how similar it is!
The Elizabeth Arden oil retails for £29.00 where as the Aldi one was £6.99. The difference in price is pretty mad and whilst I haven’t had the delight of using the Elizabeth Arden more than as a tester, I imagine it must be exceptionally beaut. But, for £6.99 you can’t go wrong with the Lacura version, plus its nourishing and smells so dreamy. I have used it on my face, legs and hair, but I tend to use it only on my hair as its a small bottle and for me personally, it works best on keeping my hair ends soft. Thats not saying its not good on your skin, it definitely feels nice but I do prefer a cream or lotion product as a body moisturiser. If you can get your hands on this dupe, its definitely worth it!
I hope my current beauty dupes & buys are helpful if you’re looking for cheaper alternatives or are fancying a browse in Aldi! If you’ve tried any of these I’d love to hear what you thought or what your favourites are.
lots of love
Han x

I never even known that Aldi sold skincare! I’m definitely checking my local Aldi from skincare because look at that packaging?! It looks so high end.
